In one of the bustling cities in Kerala, India, Rudra, a migrant idol-maker from Bengal, desperately needing help with his uncle's cremation, and Chaavi, a tough Tamil midwife who moonlights as a funeral priest, forge a fragile bond that is threatened when she is accused of a heinous crime. Rudra wants to leave for a better life. Chaavi wants to find her roots. Despite their differences in culture and personalities, they want to make a life together, but something in their past hinders them. The redemption they both seek seems unattainable.
