Synopsis

Two sisters, Rahela and Saleha, are married to two brothers, Sabar and Jabar. Rahela gives birth to Rahelillah, and Saleha has a son called Shaheb Ali. In 1971, during the Liberation War of Bangladesh against Pakistan, Rahelillah follows his conservative uncle, Jabar, while Shaheb joins the Liberation Force following his progressive uncle Sabar. The house turns into a battlefield, and Rahela and Saleha must decide whose side to take.

Director

Akram Khan (b. 1977) is a successful Bangladeshi filmmaker and producer. His debut film ‘Ghashful’ (2015) won the Zahir Raihan Best Feature Film Award. His ‘Khacha’ (2017) was Bangladesh’s entry for the Oscars and won the Meril Prothom Alo Critics Choice Award for Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor.
