Synopsis

This film follows the struggles of a small tribal community in northeast India as they grapple with the challenges of modernization. The community’s traditional culture is slowly being replaced by more Westernized trends, and the elderly members are struggling to keep their traditions alive. One member of the community, a traditional flute player, is forced to abandon his daughter in order to save her from a life of poverty. In the end, the community is forced to face the challenges of modernization head on and fight for its survival.

Arup Manna

Director

Arup Manna has been awarded a best film award in North East (Golden Camera Award) and the Guwahati International Film Festival. He has also been awarded a Best director award in the Bengaluru International Film Festival. He is also a visiting lecturer at the Dr.Bhupen Hazarika Regional film & TV institute, Assam and has a diploma in Fine Arts from Kollol school of Arts. He is also a jury member of the National Award 2008 and the Indian Panorama 2016. They are also an international film festival jury member.
