Synopsis
In the holy city of Mashhad, journalist Rahimi investigates the murders of sex workers by the “Spider Killer”—a man who believes he is on a divine mission to cleanse the city of sinners. As she tries to bring him to justice, support for his actions grows as many hail him a hero on a religious quest.

Director
Ali Abbasi was born in 1981 in Tehran, Iran. He is a director and writer, known for Border (2018), Holy Spider (2022) and Shelley (2016). He is best known for his films Shelley (2016), Border (2018), and Holy Spider (2022). Abbasi also directed the last two episodes of the first season of the series The Last of Us.
