Synopsis

At the age of 40, Leila has spent her entire life caring for her parents and four brothers. A family that is constantly arguing and under pressure from various debts in the face of sanctions against Iran. While her brothers are struggling to make ends meet, Leila makes a plan.

Saeed Roustayi

Director

Saeed Roustayi (born 14 August 1989) is an Iranian film director and screenwriter. He graduated from Soore University with a Bachelor of Film and Television in Directing. Life+1 Day is his first major cinematic work. He received the 2016 Reflet d’Or for Best Feature at the Geneva International Film Festival Tous Ecrans. His works primarily focus on issues of social injustice, as well as his portrayals of women in Iranian society.
