The phase between the age of 20 to 30 is an important phase in everyone’s life. A phase that defines a person’s entire life. What if a person becomes a traitor in that phase? What if he/she gets arrested under stringent laws without a chance to get released? A story inspired by the true events of a student’s life.



Manjunath S. (Mansore) holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Visual Arts from the College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore. His first feature film Harivu (2014) won the 62nd National Award for the best regional film and the state award instituted by the Government of Karnataka as the best feature film for the year 2014.

His second feature film Naathicharaami (2018) won Best regional National film awards and 4 National Awards in the individual category and was also the film with the most number of awards for the year. The film also bagged 4 Filmfare South awards as well as the international NETPAC award at BIFFES 2019. Both his earlier films have been well-received by audience and critics. ACT-1978 is Mansore’s 3rd directorial feature.
