Synopsis

A young college graduate is struggling to find a job. He lives in a flat with his younger, employed sister, revolutionary brother and widowed mother. The strain of the situation ultimately causes him to hallucinate.

Director

Satyajit Ray was a long-time Indian film director and screenwriter. His most famous films are the Apu Trilogy, which are about an Indian man named Apu. These films won eleven international awards and were very popular at film festivals. Ray also wrote short stories and novels for children and teenagers, and created characters like Feluda the detective, Professor Shonku the scientist. He received many awards throughout his career, including thirty-six Indian National Film Awards, a Golden Lion, a Golden Bear, two Silver Bears, and many more international awards. In 2021, the International Film Festival of India renamed its Lifetime Achievement award to “Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award”.
