Budaguru Ramakrishnaiah Panthulu was a Kannada film director, producer, and actor. He is best known for directing films in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. His most popular films are Karnan, Veerapandiya Kattabomman, Sri Krishnadevaraya, School Master, and Kittur Channamma. Panthulu is also a successful actor and has converted Ma. Po. Si.’s biographical works Veerapandiya Kattabomman and Kappalottiya Thamizhan to celluloid.
