Synopsis

A story set in the times when child marriage & caste discrimination was almost an accepted part of life, a school teacher who is revered for donning the “Devi’s” in Yakshagaana and his widowed daughter with a tragic child-marriage facing social stigma throughout her life. From man-eating tigers to a lone connecting bridge that submerges every year during the heavy rains, the villagers face multiple threats. A sudden & accidental incident slowly brings about a change in most of the central characters.

Writer and Director, PREETHAM R SHETTY, born and raised in Mangalore, began his career in the Television Industry with Serial Direction and is a renowned name in the Small Screen. His skill sets include Screenwriting & Direction. Passionately he thought of making a feature film and chose his Mother tongue Language TULU for his first Directorial Film “PINGARA” is his maiden Debut Film as a director which won the National Award at 67th National Film Awards, Vadana is his 2nd movie as a Director
