Early life: Rishika Sharma was born on 29th june in Malleshwaram, Bangalore,Karnataka. She is a relative of legendary filmmaker G.V Iyer. Her father’s name is Late. C Venkatesh and mother’s name is Padmavati R. She has a elder brother named Santosh. She received her primary education from Carmel high school, Basaveshwar nagar and Secondary education from Sharada Vidya Niketan. She went to Vijaya PU College for her higher secondary education and graduated with Psychology and Media studies at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College.
Career: Rishika worked as an actor in various Tv serials and films from 2012 to 2015. After which she started her journey as a Film director in Kannada cinema with her first directorial debut as TRUNK (2018). A movie based on a real life incident which occurred in North Karnataka. It is a psychological thriller. Which is well crafted and is a good watch. She is now directing a multilingual movie Vijayanand, a biopic on legendary Vijay Sankeshwar which is set to release in 2022.
