Synopsis

This film tells the story of a saintly man named HalayyaDeshikaru, who was born into a poor family but overcame great adversity to become a disciple of BasavalingaSwamy, a saint from Mysore region. After becoming HalayyaDeshikaru, he was given the responsibility of running the Hanagal Math, a religious center in Mysore. Though he was initially unwilling to take on this role, he eventually became Sri Mann NiranjanaPranavaSwarupiHanagalSadashivaKumaraswamiji and devoted himself to reforming the society. His innovative spiritual thoughts and dedication led to great changes in the lives of the people of Mysore.

B. S. Lingadevaru is one among the distinguished film directors in the field of Kannada cinema. He is equally renowned in the arena of television. He has the distinction of directing and producing many serials. He has also made many documentaries.
He entered the Kannada film industry with his film ‘Mauni’ in 2002 and another film ‘KaadaBeladingalu’in 2006 and most important film in Indian film ‘NaanuAvanallaAvalu’ is his third film, which bought social awareness on transgender community to the mainstream of the society. All the three films have earned recognition at the state and national levels.
