On the evening of March 31, 1943, legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart confronts his shattered self-confidence in Sardi’s bar as his former collaborator Richard Rodgers celebrates the opening night of his ground-breaking hit musical “Oklahoma!”

Richard Linklater (b. 1960) is an American filmmaker born in Houston, Texas, shaped by film studies at Austin Community College and a largely self-taught education within Austin’s independent film scene. A co-founder of the Austin Film Society, he is known for character-driven storytelling and an interest in time and everyday life. His films include SLACKER (1991), DAZED AND CONFUSED (1993), BEFORE SUNRISE (1995), SCHOOL OF ROCK (2003), BEFORE SUNSET (2004), BEFORE MIDNIGHT (2013), and BOYHOOD (2014). He has received multiple Academy Award nominations and Golden Globe wins, with BOYHOOD earning him Best Director and global acclaim.
