Ojapali is a rare art form of Assam which is used by a political party for election campaign. During the campaign, the dead body of the senior lead performer of the troupe is discovered in a paddy field. Such incident frames a negative impact upon the use of Ojapali and they could find no alternative troupe. Then some female members, going against the rules laid down by the patriarchal society forms an Ojapali troupe and start campaigning with renewed vigour. But things turn out to be completely different.

ಒಜಾಪಲಿ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಅಪರೂಪದ ಜನಪದ ಕಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಒಂದು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷ ಇದನ್ನು ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಳಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರಚಾರದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಒಜಾಪಲಿ ತಂಡದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಲಾವಿದನ ಮೃತದೇಹವು ಗದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಒಜಾಪಲಿಯ ಬಳಕೆಗೆ ನಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬದಲಿ ತಂಡವೊಂದನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದಾದ ಬಳಿಕ, ಪಿತೃಸತ್ತಾತ್ಮಕ ಸಮಾಜವು ವಿಧಿಸಿದ ನಿಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಒಜಾಪಲಿ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿ ಹೊಸ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಆರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಂತರದ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ದಿಕ್ಕು ತಾಳುತ್ತವೆ.

Dip Bhuyan is a National-award winning film director. He studied masters in Statistics at Delhi University. He is a recipient of many accolades including the prestigious national film awards, state govt. awards, IDPA awards, NCERT awards etc. He was awarded the Best Director Award in 2013 and the Best Film award in 2015 by the Govt. of Assam. His two films were screened in Indian Panorama of IFFI, Goa. He also served as a Selection Committee member of IFFI, MIFF, BIFFes and IDPA. As a visiting faculty, Mr. Bhuyan teaches documentary film making at Cotton University, Gauhati University, Assam.
