NADUBETTU APPANNA is a story that revolves around a stingy and selfish person named Appanna and his family, who reside in a remote village named Dabbadka. After the incident of the attack of wild Elephants on his plantation, causing the death of his wife and son, a remarkable change sprouts in him, resulting in the generous donation of his property to the government.

ನಡುಬೆಟ್ಟು ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಕಥೆಯು ಡಬ್ಬಡ್ಕ ಎಂಬ ದೂರದ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಎಂಬ ಜಿಪುಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಸುತ್ತ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತಿಸುವ ಬದಲು ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆನೆಯೊಂದು ತನ್ನ ತೋಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ದಂಗಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯ ನಂತರ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಾಂತರಗೊಂಡು, ತನ್ನ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
