SONGS OF FORGOTTEN TREES ANUPARNA ROY

In Mumbai, Thooya, a migrant and aspiring actress, survives the city through charm, ambition, and uneasy compromises. She sublets her wealthy boyfriend’s apartment to Swetha, a corporate professional new to Mumbai. As the two women share the same space, their very different lives begin to intersect. Amid unspoken struggles and quiet routines, an unexpected empathy slowly grows between them. But the city keeps pushing, and their hidden wounds surface, revealing a fragile bond shaped by survival, resilience, and the complex realities of womanhood.
