Who is this young, fearless pianist? Who is this Polish composer who is using music to transcend its power? Who is this star that turns the heads of all Parisians? They refer to him as Chopin. The most romantic character of opulent Parisian evenings, he is the buzz of the town. Chopin realizes his days are running out when his lungs begin to hemorrhage. His sole concentration is composing. He is driven to transform music by the passing of time.

Michał Kwieciński (b. 1951) is a Polish director and producer with a background in science and cinema. He holds a PhD in chemistry and studied film directing at the Warsaw Academy of Dramatic Art. He runs the production company Akson Studio and has been active in Polish cinema for decades. His films include THE EXTRAS (2006) and FILIP (2022), while he also produced KATYŃ (2007). Known for blending history with strong storytelling, he won the Silver Lions for Best Director at the Gdynia Film Festival for FILIP. CHOPIN, CHOPIN! is his latest biographical drama.
