Rajashekhar, an honest businessman, is forced to flee after accidentally killing a corrupt associate, losing contact with his pregnant wife Sumathi. Years later, Sumathi lives in Delhi with their son Shankar, while Rajashekhar has become a wealthy estate owner in Kashmir. When Shankar is invited to manage the estate, father and son unknowingly reconnect. But Rajashekhar’s former partners return seeking a stolen temple necklace and kidnap Sumathi, forcing Shankar and his twin Guru to rescue their parents and reunite the family.

ರಾಜಶೇಖರ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಪಾಲುದಾರನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದ ಬಳಿಕ ಪಲಾಯನಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿ ಪತ್ನಿ ಸುಮತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಸುಮತಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗ ಶಂಕರನೊಂದಿಗೆ ದಿಲ್ಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಅದೇ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ರಾಜಶೇಖರನು ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಎಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಮಾಲಿಕರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಈ ಎಸ್ಟೇಟಿನ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಶಂಕರನನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ, ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ತಂದೆ–ಮಗ ಒಂದಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ರಾಜಶೇಖರನ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಪಾಲುದಾರರು ದೇವಾಲಯದಿಂದ ಕದ್ದ ನೆಕ್ಲೇಸ್ ಒಂದನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು, ಸುಮತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಪಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಶಂಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಅವಳಿ ಸಹೋದರ ಗುರು ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆತ್ತವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಒಂದಾಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

V. Somashekhar (1937 - 2003), born in Chikkanahalli, was a stalwart of Kannada cinema’s commercial prime. After working under icons like R. Nagendra Rao and B. Vittalacharya, he made his directorial debut with BANGAARADA PANJARA (1974). Known for his prolific partnership with Dr. Rajkumar, he directed over 40 films in his long career, specializing in action and family dramas. His acclaimed works include PREMADA KANIKE (1976), SHANKAR GURU (1978), SEETHARAMU (1979), and HULI HEJJE (1984). Recipient of the Puttanna Kanagal Award, Somashekhar is remembered as a "minimum guarantee" director who redefined the mass hero image in Kannada cinema.
