Tribeny Rai, (b. 1991) in Nandok village, East Sikkim, is a trailblazing filmmaker and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) graduate specializing in direction and screenplay writing. She focuses on women's lived experiences in the Eastern Himalayas through acclaimed shorts like MEMORY OF A HEART (2016) and CHORI, building to her Nepali-language debut feature SHAPE OF MOMO (2025).
