NAM SAALI OUR SCHOOL ANEELKUMAR

Gangya is asked to read his essay "On the school" aloud in class. With innocence and honesty, he speaks of broken classrooms and missing facilities, truths that expose a system built on negligence. Offended teacher beats him, forcing him to promise a rewritten, proper version. At home, hope briefly returns when his impoverished parents speak of migrating to the city for a better future. Trusting this promise, Gangya skips school the next day without rewriting the essay. But poverty decides otherwise. His parents leave the village in silence, another unseen migration. Abandoned and cornered, Gangya returns to school. This time, he suppresses his truth and reads a safe, obedient essay. The teacher is pleased. The system succeeds.
